        Department of Mental Health has been organizing an Annual International Mental Health Conference session continuously. The past has been held 19 times until the year 2021 is the 20th time. And the 7 years previous as follows.

The 19th Annual International Mental Health Conference of 2020 on the topic “Mental Health in the COVID-19 Pandemic” during 6th - 7th August, 2020 via VDO Conference Live Streaming (Cisco WebEx Meeting) at Srithanya Hospital, Nonthaburi Province, Thailand.

        The current situation, because of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID - 19) pandemic not only affected the illness and death of many COVID-19 patients. But it also has broader impacts, including economic, social, lifestyle, it is the existence of people who have to change not only in Thailand but linked to all regions around the world. Impacts whether physical, mental, economic, and social They occur at the individual, family, community and social levels. Adjustment of people, and society to live safely in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

        Throughout the years during the coronavirus pandemic amid changes that take place. The Department of Mental Health urged the public to take care of mental health, including medical staff and public health personnel. Promoting mental health, building up resilience, and preventing mental health problems caused by the effects of the pandemic. Especially problems of suicide, stress, burnout, and depression as well as developing tele-medicine systems. To provide the patient access to quick and easy treatment, reduce the risk of COVID - 19 infection, in addition to working with the Ministry of Public Health to integrate mental health work of all ages into a holistic health care system. In response to the policy driving commitment of the Ministry of Public Health in 2021, realized the importance of mental health work in all dimensions and set as the policy of the Ministry of Public Health which focuses on building a support system, performing mental health operations in the area, raising the level of mental health works to become one with health work, prepare people's knowledge of mental health to enter a new way of life, New Normal Mindset.

        The Department of Mental Health realizes the importance of learning among experienced people. Various expertise both at home and abroad as well as collaboration between the Department of Mental Health and both domestic and international agencies/organizations. This will lead to the enhancement of human potential and the development of mental health to achieve the set goals. The Department of Mental Health will be organizing the 20th Annual International Mental Health Conference 2021 under the theme of "New Normal Mental Health" with the aim of allowing the meeting participants to gain knowledge with the current situation or New normal as well as trends in the future It will also strengthen our motivation for further mental health work.

Objective

Providing attendees to receive international mental health knowledge In a format consistent with the new normal.

Providing the experts Personnel and mental health networks both domestic and international cooperation powered mental health work both regional and macro.

Disseminate knowledge/innovation/ academic research in mental health promotion. Prevent mental health problems, therapy, and rehabilitation.
